Rosalie Hale was born in Rochester New York in 1915. She was and is described as the most beautiful girl in the world. As a human she had honey blonde hair and eyes that looked like violets. She grew up in a very sophisticated family, and was constantly praised, which made her vain and conceited, and like her parents she wanted more out of life that what was given to her. She met her ex-fiance Royce King by dressing up to make a delivery to her father and he took an intant likeing to her. they were engaged shortly after.Their relationship was pretty much on physical attraction and Rosalie realized this when she visited her good friend Vera two months before the wedding. She saw Vera's husband kiss her, and dismissed the lack of love in her relationship. She was then beaten and then raped by Royce and his drunk friends when he bragged about Rosalie's raving beauty. She was left for dead in teh streets and that is how Carlisle found her and took pity on her, taking her home and made her a vampire. It changed her unhappy ways when she saw herself in the mirror. She avenged herself by killing Royces friends and then saved Royce for last by torturing him and then killing him but didn't drink his blood, for she didn't want anything of him inside her, she later said.
She met her true love, and soul mate, Emmett Cullen by saving him from a bear attack that almost killed him. She carried him one hundred miles and took him to Carlisle begging him to change him for she felt she could not do it herself. She later told Bella the reason she saved him because he reminded her of her friend Vera's son Henry. They have been married several times and live away from the rest of the Cullens. She is however, fiercely loyal to her family and would do anything for them, despite her standoffish attitude.
